A Different Kind Of Harvest

All over the world you hear complaints about how dirty and trashy the waters are.  It goes from the many rivers to even the ocean.  Well this machine has everyone asking for the instructions on how to make it.

The first one of it's kind is nick-named, "Mr. Trash Wheel."  It was made in the Baltimore's Inner Harbor in Baltimore Maryland in 2014.  It costs about $720,000.00 to make.  It was obtained through many private and public funds.

The creator of this magnificent machine was developed right on a napkin by John Kellett who was a former Museum director.  He says that it is a cross between a space ship and a covered wagon.   It sits in the water, is powered by Wi-Fi and uses solar energy.  Everyone one of these are Green Energy.  The craft is monitored by computer.

There are boomers that gather the trash in and there is a conveyor belt that brings all that trash up and them at the end of the conveyor belt is a huge garbage dumpster.  The garbage is then transported to a transit station.

Though it may seem small in the vastness of many waters on this earth it is a beginning.  Since 2014 it has cleaned up 12 garbage dumpsters full of chip bags and cigarette butts, which was only in the first 48 hours after a heavy rainstorm.  Since it was first put int he water to do the cleanup of the harbor it has amassed some 354 tons of garbage.

It is so popular and so needed that many other countries are asking for the plan to create this machine of their own.  Two of the prominent ones are India, who wants to clean up the Ganges River and Brazil who wants to clean up their Guanabara Bay in lieu of the hosting the Olympic Games.
